Sundays in my City - Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park

Shakespeare Garden

And the leaves speak
through silent branches

their voices carried

by winds of change.

Mother Earth colors
Autumnal hues

warmly toasted

reflections of the sun.

November noon
debuts a play

where natureā€™s performance

unfolds seasons.

And the stage is set.

What a beautiful garden, Joanne. Wish I could stroll through those pretty grounds. You are so fortunate to live in a moderate climate...I'm starting to dread winter here in Minnesota!

Oh to be able to sit on one of those benches and enjoy an afternoon. Beautiful.

what a joy that must be to walk through there and see Mother Earth colors

warmly toasted
reflections of the sun.

This poem just knocks me out Joanna. I love Fall best of all and the voice you give to these gorgeous images is so filled with drama and expectation. We are truly almost there and on the edge of the best time of the year.

I was also very drawn to the design of the path in the picture. The image of the cross is always a favorite of mine and the circling brick at its base is almost like a halo.

Cheryl, we are pretty lucky here I must admit. Although I do miss seeing snow so it would be nice to trade places with you for a short while. Thanks.

Joanne, it is so peaceful there. Thanks.

Ann, Ah, you are sweet and it is special. Thanks.

Annie, Thanks for your kind words and I too find it to be the best time of year. I also like your observations on my photos. It is so cool to experience the same photo through another's eye. Thank you.

Beautiful. The colour is amazing, it looks like a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a sunny afternoon.
I love parks of this type. Beautifully maintained without being too manicured.
