Poetic Shutterbug

I have had my new camera now for over a month and decided to write a review. Those of you reading this blog regularly know that the Olympus I bought earlier this year was a wonderful camera in several aspects until it completely stopped working after four months. Long story short, I needed a new camera and found this GE Power Pro series to be perfect for my needs. Before I ordered it there were only two aspects that had me wondering if I should order it at all. First the GE brand. Now I knew GE to be a great brand for some things but I never knew they made cameras. Second this camera did not have a super macro lens like my Olympus did. However given my financial state at the time and the fact that I had researched literally dozens and dozens of cameras, I always found myself coming back to this GE. It was such a clear day at the gardens and I wanted to test my zoom lens. I got lucky with this airplane. I never would have been able to catch these shots with my old camera, especially the last one. It was pretty cool.

UPDATE - THIS CAMERA COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING AFTER FOUR MONTHS. AS A RESULT, IT WOULD HAVE COST MORE TO HAVE IT FIXED THAN WHAT I ORIGINALLY PAID SO I BOUGHT A NEW CAMERA AND NOT AN OLYMPUS. I finally decided that I needed a new camera. Although I love my old one it just did not have some settings which I need, specifically macro and super macro. I also wanted something that can take photos in low light conditions such as nightclubs and concerts. My old camera, in low light conditions would show a black screen. I researched for weeks and decided I wanted an Olympus due to its reputation for being around quite a while and producing sturdy and high quality cameras. There were so many on the market it was hard to choose. I stumbled across the SP-600 UZ on the Home Shopping Network where on that particular day they were featuring this camera and offering an incredible price.
