Blue Monday - Neighborhood Murals

Image
Located on the side of an apartment building in the sunset district. Depicts the city background and the N Judah streetcar line. This is a very cute little spot in the sunset district that serves organic eats. I loved the name and artwork. Click here for more Blue Monday fun.

Nature Along City Streets

All Photos Taken by Me in the Sunset District of San Francisco While walking home the other day from my jaunt out at the beach, I decided to take some shots of flower beds and plantings in driveways and entrances of homes and apartment buildings. Being in the city, there are many streets that look so stark and clinical with just stucco homes and bare, gray sidewalks. Some have plants or flowers at their garage doors or entrance ways and some do not. I always wonder what type of people live in all of these homes. Do the ones that plant flowers have more respect for nature just because they have these flowers? Are the ones that have bare sidewalks in front of their homes more clean and tidy? It's just a fascination I have. It's fun to imagine what and who is behind those stucco walls by seeing the outside facade. After The Storm

Image
Patches of blue after the storm, view from my back yard. Storm clouds passing through the skies Darkness after the storm. View from McCoppin Park in the Sunset District in San Francisco The way the storms have been creeping up on us this past week, every little patch of blue is an opportunity to get out there and get some photos. Due to the rain I haven't even been able to get out to the gardens. Hopefully I can do that this coming week before I leave for Los Angeles. These photos were taken at a local district park in my neighborhood right after one of our many storms. Although dark and dreary looking the air was fresh and crisp though extremely cold. Sometimes dark can be very beautiful.
