I visit our local zoo primarily to see the animals and I am always surprised to see such beautiful and exotic flowers and plants from around the world. There are species from South Africa, New Zealand and much more. Here are just a few I snapped while visiting the San Francisco zoo yesterday. Enjoy! Visit Macro Monday for more great macro photography
All of these photos were taken at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens. Please click the photos to enlarge. Enjoy! Click the above widget for more Scenic Sunday fun.
Restless Restless as changing leaves unfold seasons of mystery, new life despair One among multitudes unique, yet alike chasing winds nowhere Grounded not the leaf nor I entangled limbs uncertain Intertwined
Clever title huh? All of these shots were taken at the Botanical Gardens. The above shot is not a real plant or bee but is a metal sculpture which is located at the entrance to the gardens and serves as a donation box. I just always thought it was pretty cool. The rest of the leaves below are real :) Above photo - Byzantia Silver Carpet located in the garden of fragrance Palm leaves with center of palm tree
