Macro Monday - California Pitcher Plant
I was walking about near the nursery at the Botanical Gardens and saw this green color out of the corner of my eyes. As I got closer, the exotic nature of this plant mesmerized me. I knew nothing about it at the time and got very close to take some macro shots. Had I known at the time it was a carnivorous plant species, I would have taken the shots at a distance :D These were planted in a large planter box outside the nursery. From what I understand, they are supposed to have an unpleasant scent however I did not smell anything.
