PhotoScapes Unleashed - Bubbleicious

Image
Before While taking my walk in the neighborhood I came across this cute little stone flower planter by the Jewish Community Center. I loved the colors and flowers so I took a snapshot. After Due to the color and textures of the original photo I decided to play around with it and add some bubbles, swirls and a darker color. I admit I got a little carried away but it was fun. The after shot looks a bit surreal to me. The bubbles added that extra oomph! Enjoy! Visit PhotoScapes Unleashed

My New Website & PhotoScapes Unleashed Page

Image
I wanted to go ahead and introduce all of you to my new website and PhotoScapes Unleashed page which I integrated onto my website. Though blogging is fun and a venue for my ongoing poetry and photographic pursuits, it is always nice to have a website presence as well. Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions are always appreciated. Here is the url to my PhotoScapes page http://sites.google.com/site/poetjoanneolivieri/home/photoscapes-unleashed where you can also navigate through the website pages. I also have to mention that you can create Google sites for free and with no advertising on the pages. I added the AdSense and Adgitize . It is an easy to understand site building platform and you don't need to know html code. It's a breeze to setup and create. Thanks and have a great weekend.

Photoscapes Unleashed - Downtown San Francisco

Image
The Transamerica Pyramid building - Downtown San Francisco Original Photo I edited with charcoal pencil. These photos were taken on an overcast and soon to be stormy day so the originals were very drab. I needed to add a little character. The Bank of America Building - Downtown San Francisco Original Photo This is where the film The Towering Inferno was shot. I edited with warm color tones and a spotlight. It almost looks like the towering inferno with these colors.

Photoscapes Unleashed ~ Sea Salt Foam

Image
Before ~ I took this photo at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. It was an overcast, foggy day and there was just something so beautiful about the waves and sea foam pattern along the shore. After ~ I didn't do much altering on this one other than spot lighting the rock area, changing the color scheme to more of a cool palette and adding the wind and punch modes for a more closeup effect. I like the dark feel to both of them. As a result of my new obsession I decided to open a free artfire .com shop. Basic membership is free and you can sell prints, photos, cards etc... basically anything handcrafted can be sold. Whether any of these will sell, I have no idea but I wanted to share artfire .com with you. Many of you are photographers out there and could benefit from opening your own shop. Here is a text link to register online for a free membership. Register on ArtFire .com Below is a link to my shop or you can visit by going to my sidebar and clicking my shop window. Photoscapes Unleashed ~ Musical Clock

Image
Before ~ These beautiful clocks are made by a company called Rhythm. They are musical and animated. We sold them in a retail store where I worked for about twelve years. After ~ I decided to manipulate something other than nature photos so I thought the clock would be an interesting subject and it did not disappoint. I used the swirl, pinch and highlight modes along with a decorative fringe on the border. Enjoy!

Photoscapes Unleashed ~ Ocean Swirl

Image
Before ~ This was taken at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. The sunsets here can be spectacular and I happened to catch one amazing scene. I've always loved this photo and wondered what if anything I could do to enhance it or change the feel. The result is below. After ~ While using my software with oil paint mode, swirl, punch, pinch, highlight and wind modes, I was able to get an ocean wave/swirl effect. Enjoy!

Photoscapes Unleashed ~ Stone Planter

Image
Before - I took this at the Botanical Gardens and although it came out fine, I loved the colors and wanted to do something different. The result is below. After ~ I deepened the color, added a swirl, pinch and tightened the highlighted center. Enjoy!
