I am extremely excited to announce that my new poetry book titled Quietude is available at:  https://www.createspace.com/6903990   Here is a brief synopsis: Experience a poetic journey through life and love from the city by the bay to the streets of Hong Kong and back. Quietude speaks to cultural diversity with a focus on peace and tranquility. The connection between music and nature provides a melodic read through this collection of poetry. I spent a few days at Rockaway Beach in Pacifica as the first leg of my staycation.  I love the bay area and my home in San Francisco so this was the perfect way to spend the beginning of my week. Enjoy! I am participating in Our World Tuesday

These photos were taken at St. Cecilia church here in San Francisco, CA, where I attended catholic school for eight years.  The church itself is gorgeous and has some beautiful architecture with stained glass windows and doors. Stow lake is located in Golden Gate Park and is the largest and most popular lake in the area.  It was created in 1893 and houses a boat rental facility and surrounds Strawberry Hill which was named for the wild strawberries that once flourished there.  It truly is a nature lover's paradise.   The foliage and lake are not only scenic but provide a haven for wildlife. This Chinese pagoda was presented to San Francisco by its sister city Taipei in 1976 and resides on the shores of Stow Lake. I am participating in Scenic Weekends
