After The Storm

Patches of blue after the storm, view from my back yard.

Storm clouds passing through the skies

Darkness after the storm. View from McCoppin Park in the Sunset District in San Francisco

The way the storms have been creeping up on us this past week, every little patch of blue is an opportunity to get out there and get some photos. Due to the rain I haven't even been able to get out to the gardens. Hopefully I can do that this coming week before I leave for Los Angeles. These photos were taken at a local district park in my neighborhood right after one of our many storms. Although dark and dreary looking the air was fresh and crisp though extremely cold. Sometimes dark can be very beautiful.

It was nice to see the sun yesterday for a change. The threating clouds in the distance of your last photo seems to tell us they are not done with us yet.

Vanilla, Thanks, they were so dramatic I had to capture them on camera.

Diane, me too, it was so dark and lovely.

Karen, It was nice to see a glimmer of that sun but I don't think it's over yet :)

Beautiful photos...our return home on Great Highway, from India Clay Oven, was closed off today - because of the weather, I guess, although we drove in on it. It was low tide on the drive back - no wild surf like I saw in Pacific on Wed.

So calm after the storm, or will there be storms after another....

Margie, lol, how could it ever be cloudy when you are there :) I'm good at brown nosing huh?

Carmen, It's closed off because it's eroding out there and they don't want anyone driving near that area. They have major work to do there because of the storm.

Rainfield, More storms to come...

Jennifer, Thanks so much.

All the blogs I have visited this morning are talking about the storms and rains....and have photos of sunny skies!! I think that every time a bit of sunlight peeks through--bloggers are out with their cameras taking photos--as if they are all afraid that the sun may never show her face ever again!!!!!
Hello The third picture is so gloomy. I like the second one more because it gives me a ray of hope xoxo

These photos are beautiful despite the reaon for them. The one with the dark silhouettes in the foreground is particularly dramatic, because of the contrast I imagine.

Beautiful cloud photos- you west coasters have been having weather that is more likely to be seen here in Tornado Alley in late March! Our skies are never boring in the spring:)

I like the look of those clouds. I guess it's dark and gloomy in most places right now. It looks like late evening in the middle of the day where I live.

That is exactly the reason C :D

Mrs.M, yes you are right, thank you for visiting

jakill, yes, I liked that too, it was very dramatic.

Thyme, LOL! It's been strange here for sure. Thanks for visiting.

Ratty, Yeah, it is pretty cool but I don't like it being like that for days on end.
