Watery Wednesday - Seal Rock at Lands End in San Francisco

Seal Rock at Lands End in San Francisco is where our sea lions used to chill until they migrated over to Pier 39. This is located right below the Cliff House

definitely gorgeous. :)

No more seals at the rock nowadays?
I wouldn't mind sitting on the rock, enjoying the blue sky and sea like the sea lions! ^-^
Hi Joanne. Beautiful picture. Some of those Sea Lions have migrated away from Pier 39 now -- Sea Lion Caves (near Florence Oregon) had more of them this past Winter than they've had for years, migrating Northward from your area, we were told. We visited the Caves just before we left Oregon in February -- lots of sea lions but of course the Caves are not nearly so picturesque as your area.

Ummmmm, why does all this look so familiar to me, dear Jo? That was such a magnificent day we had. I've got some other ideas for a photographic outing. Once my leg and foot recover ( will they ever? ), I've found some nice photo opportunities in the Castro. You are such good company and it's always a day filled with laughter.

Luna, thanks so much

Rainfield, I think the clouds give it a dreamy effect.

Thanks so much, Chuck.

Duni, thanks, I thought I'd try something different with the template.

lina, no they went to Pier 39 years ago, then left and now a few have come back. I'd like to sit on those rocks too or at least walk out to them.

Sallie, yes we were all so sad that they left, especially the tourists and went up your way. A few, only about a dozen have come back so I guess you guys have much more to offer them :) Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.

Carmen, Gee I don't know :D We had a fantastic time that day, it was so much fun. Yes, as soon as you are able, let's get back out there. The Castro sounds good, it's been a while since i've been there, actually since Sony and Jerry played at the Castro festival. Some good eats spots out there too.
We love the coast line north and south of San Francisco! My husband had a business trip out there last fall and we took an extra week. Had so much fun. Thanks for coming by my place.

You share such wonderful ocean views! I wish a trip to the seaside was on our agenda this year but I think it will have to wait. Maybe next year.

very beauitful and inspiring pleace to be Jo, here, the sea lions mostly spend their time on rocks, maybe because we do not have a Pier like in SF :)

The water just seems so calm, unlike that cove I went to in Santa Cruz. Looks cold though...

Beautiful shots. I've been meaning to get out to the coast to enjoy scenery like this. You had a fabulous day with terrific lighting. The colors are just perfect and the beach looks quite deserted. Thanks for stopping by at my WW. Enjoy the day.

Absolutely breathtaking...of all the oceans in the world...the Pacific is finest. My opinion of course.

Thanks for popping by yesterday, I'm trying to catch up with all my visitors this morning. The baby turtle release was a grand success...I'll have photos of this event next week on my blog.
