A Poet With A Camera
Claude is a very handsome fellow, I can see why he would be the center of attention. Even though he was being shy you got some great pics. They have quite a collection, I really like the iguana and gila monster.
Cool critters, Happy Birthday to Claude!
Some very interesting critters there. Claude is quite extraordinary
Claude stays pretty white...though he could use a little bleach on the top there. There are some creepy crawly guys at the Academy. Not the most handsome of creatures - except to the ladies of the species, I guess.
Nice to meet Claude and happy birthday to him! Wonderful photos of so many critters!
Why the back of a penguin is black? It is because its hands are too short to rub the back.My son told me this joke.
I love the Academy, and I would swear that it has been less than 15 years since I was there, but I don't remember Claude at all! Thanks for the introduction! I like the shot of the turtle, also.Blessings!
Wow! An albino alligator. Never saw one before.Great photos!
Wow - an albino crocodile! So rare and precious and handsome.
An albino alligator, I never would have imagined one, although there's no scientific reason for that. Those look like my darling Galapagos penguins. That's how my husband got me to the islands, and got us started continent-hopping. "There are penguins," he said. So I went. Thanks for a very interesting post. And thanks for visiting my blog. I do love to have visitors.-- Kay, Alberta
Exquisite photos, all of them. This white alligator is special, I admit, but I still don't like them. The penguins are very cute instead.
Wow, I've never seen an albino alligator before!
The albino gator is very rare, as much alligators that I have seen in New Orleans, I never saw an albino gator, fantastic find Jo.
Squirrel, he is a showstopper. They do have quite a collection of everything except yours and my favorite - our squirrel buddies :)Eileen, thanks he wears his age well :)Ann, as much as I am deathly afraid of alligators, I have to admit he is a cutie.Carmen, yes, he bathes regularly :) There are even more creepy ones than what I've posted. There was a python that I couldn't even look at, much less take a photo. Thanks Mumsy, he enjoyed his birthdayRainfield lol :D I can see where your son get his personality - you are both hysterical.Dimple, If I remember correctly, Claude hasn't been here that long. I forgot where he came from but it's not been that long. Thanks for visiting.Cassiopeia, yeah he is pretty rare and I think that's why everyone likes him so much. Thanks for stopping by.ladyfi, :) he is all three things you've mentionedKay, they are from the Galapagos Islands. I love watching them though they draw a huge crowd so it's difficult to get close. Thanks for visiting.maiaT. I don't like alligators either but I love Claude. Of course if he were out of his habitat and near me, I wouldn't be loving him at all :) Penguins are favorites of mine as wellNikkiAn, yes they are pretty cool looking.Self, he is very rare and from what I understand, there aren't many of them out there.
Oh I have never seen an Albino alligator before hehehe.. Great shots.

Wow I didn't know there was such a thing as a albino aligator!
Claude is fantastic! Is he alone?
the albino alligator doesn't look too intimidating compared to ones that we normal see around.
Love the albino alligator! I have never seen one of those!
There is a zoo here too in Amsterdam where I'm visiting. I should go visit them.I don't think they have any alligators though.
