Hoping For Spring

Photos taken by me @ The San Francisco Botanical Gardens

This is a guest post by Taylor Graham. Taylor, I so much appreciate your loyalty and friendship. Thank you so much for your poetry.

Gray sky lowering with just
a horizon-line
of light that moves beyond you.

The apple tree’s white petals
promise fruit. Tonight,
storm. Will weather strip each bud?

Wild geese whispering – they’ll
fly before morning:
March sounds its call of Leaving.

On the hilltop, one bare oak.
Remember, leafless
trees still can blossom with wings.

Winter is nice, placing the big white canvas in the garden for the greatest artist, Spring to splash color and redefine beauty. ~bangchik

The photos are beautiful and so is the poem. I hope spring comes early, I'm sure you're tired of snow already.

Happy Friday!

just marvelous!
Margie, lol, we've had weird weather here. One day it's in the 60's, the next it's storming and in the 40's.

Thanks Pryanka.

Rainfield, you want rain?

Bangchik, redefine beauty, I love that.

Liz, Where I live we never see snow. I have to take a trip up north to Tahoe to see snow so I enjoy seeing all the photos and posts on these blogs with Winter scenes.

Thank you so much, Icy.

Beautiful pictures and poems. I loved my friend, Ruma2008's lovely ume blossoms in Japan and was so pleased he allowed me to put them on my blog header. Spring is definitely here in GA in spite of snow a little over a week ago. Jonquils are pushing up all over the place!!
