It's an interesting world at Fisherman's Wharf...past and present....fishing boats that bring in the day's catch to feed the hungry tourists, the sound of barking seals in the distance, the beautiful vistas of the Golden Gate, often shrouded in fog, with mega vessels housing whole cities gliding underneath as the Alaska cruise season gets underway again. I love it all!

There are images that speaks for themselves and need no words, just like the three you posted here. They speak of a lot of character, the pier, the wharf, the boats, the water, fog, blue sky, life is great.

Bessye here. I loved San Francisco when I lived there in the early 80's. Especially the wharf, the excitement it created with everything and everyone. No place like it!

If only there was a port here in my country as beautiful as this one. hmmm... I think maybe at Subic Bay. But I haven't been there a while. Sorry for the monologue.

I love the pictures. It's like a crowd of boats lined up patiently waiting for their owners to arrive to take them out for a leisurely ride on the coast.

I love pictures of boats like this. It brings back thoughts of watching Gilligan's Island when I was a kid. It was one of my favorite shows when I was little.
