I love the Japanese Magnolia, it is so pretty and one of the first trees to bloom here in MS.

The first photo is stunning. I'm not sure if it's called the stamen, but it looks shy and seems to be hiding behind the petals. Happy Lunar New Year to you!

Love its pastel color. I remember going to the Huntington this time of the year when the magnolias are in bloom.

I visited Hong Kong for Chinese New Year in 2007. I remember those lanterns vividly :)
