Royal Doulton Mini Toby Jugs The Cardinal & Robin Hood

Throughout the 18th century Toby Jugs were created by artisans to commemorate the lives of famous people and public figures. They were handpainted and very often depicted in whimsical styles. As the 19th century debuted, Royal Doulton began producing Toby Jugs in all shapes, sizes and characters. To this day you can find celebrities, politicians, fictional characters etc... all in the form of these delightful little jugs. They are highly collectible in the sense that they have never faltered in value yet show a steady increase year after year.
