Thursday Two Questions Meme - Friendships
Friends come in all colors, shapes and sizes. We choose friends in which we feel a connection. There's the saying where friends come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. We, I think always feel that our friends will be there for a lifetime. However that is not always the case.
Misunderstandings cause rifts in any relationship including friendships. If there is true caring and love between you and your friend you can get through difficult times. Respect and unconditional love are two of the most important aspects in any friendship or relationship. Unconditional love is difficult at times but when we can shed our expectations this rare love can be achieved. Of course, if we have the need to be right all the time and cannot shed expectations of others, the friendship will die.
Losing a friend you love due to a misunderstanding is one of the most painful things you can experience. It's like a death. The anger, the grief, the insurmountable sadness etc... is devastating. However it happens and when it does, we need to learn how to move on and get through the painful loss.

Just a note that although no one came up with the two correct answers on last week's blogpost, Ann over at Ann's Snap And Edit came the closest and will receive a Sony Holland cd. The answer is a Banksia Speciosa or Showy Banksia with the macro taken at the SF Botanical Gardens. Thanks to all of you for your comments.

I wish that I could say that the friendship was repaired but sadly it wasn't.

2) Only one, due to the person's no show. I am still able to continue the friendship but very casually. So the degree has changed.

Sadly yes, one was caused by a third party.

It still hurts. I can't even talk about it.
Our disagreement was about money. She wanted to borrow $5,000 to pay for a couch she bought on time. Hubby said no way. I felt bad until another friend asked me how much my own couch was worth, which put it back into perspective!
Question 2:
We don't talk now, and we used to see each other or talk on the phone several times a week. It doesn't bother me, I've moved on.
