Love these varied shades of yellow, Joanne, most especially the buttery yellow of the second one. Is that perhaps the backside of a hybiscus? The vein reminds me of hybiscus.
Annie, you know what? I do not remember. I take so many photos at one time but it could very well be. Thank you so much.
Liz, aw, thank you so much.
Evelyn, thank you so much. That poppy is actually on this blog. I only have one blog but that particular shot is posted in several different spots. I was mesmerized when I first saw it. I had never seen it before either. It was a treat :) Thank you so much for visiting and commenting.
Now for mine, I like the outside of the yellow trumpet which reminds me of a pumpkin flower. I went down your side-bar and really like the image of your mother, Dorothy. Is she still with us? Where was the photo taken?
This is really beautiful collection of various and lovely yellow flowers! You said you would like to know how to create mosaics. You can visit Mary’s beautiful blog on this page http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/2009/07/making-photo-mosaics-tutorial.html where you can read her tutorial about making photo mosaic. I did the same. :-)
Those are awesome, some do look familiar to me. Sooner or later I say bye bye to my flowers, good thing I have a picture of them this year. Great shots and thanks for the visit! Something red, yellow & blue
Julie, No, my Mom passed away in 1994. That photo was taken in San Francisco on Mission Street near 29th. She was in her early 20's at the time which would have been around 1944 or so. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting.
Wonderful pictures...I chose some of the same flowers, Jo...actually, all my mellow yellows today were taken from our stroll through the Botannical Gardens. I'm trying to use some of my many photographs! You must have thousands.
Such beautiful yellow flowers. I especially like the first picture. Tulips are my favorite flowers, and I just adore yellow tulips. This post really cheered me up.
