Ruby Tuesday - Scarlet Ribbon

Proteacea
Leucospermum
"Scarlet Ribbon"

Native to South Africa, this shrub blooms in the Winter and Spring. It grows up to eight feet high and four to five feet wide. It is pink and salmon in color with blooms that also include a feature that looks like tiny red ribbons. It needs full sun exposure and is deer tolerant. I love coming across all of these exotic plants in the gardens. I've been taking more time in jotting down names and descriptions. I no longer run around like a crazy person just snapping away :D

You are now more and more knowledgable, and will be an expert later.
What's beautiful to our eyes is more beautiful to the eyes of bees and butterflies. Luckily camera makes it possible for us to view through their eyes... very fascinating! ~bangchik
